As of June 27th, I will be closing the doors to P.A.W.S. Pet Hospital as I step into retirement. This decision was not made lightly, and my foremost concern has always been how to ensure your pets’ continued care.

I’m pleased to share that I’ve been partnering closely with Rice Creek Animal Hospital in Lino Lakes to transition your pets’ care to a team I trust. Many familiar faces — including Dr. Heidi, Jill, and other former P.A.W.S. staff members — are already part of the Rice Creek team, conveniently located just minutes away. I have full confidence they will continue to provide the compassionate, high-quality care you and your pets deserve.

Keeping this news under wraps while finalizing details, especially over the past few weeks, has been incredibly difficult and emotional for my team and me. It has truly been my honor and privilege to serve as your veterinarian.

We are currently working with the Rice Creek team to make this transition as smooth as possible and will be planning some special events to celebrate this new chapter, including opportunities for you to meet and get to know the Rice Creek staff.

Q: Can I still pick up my pet’s prescriptions?
A: Prescription refills will be available for pick up at P.A.W.S. or through the P.A.W.S. online store until June 27th, so please plan accordingly. If you have a written prescription from Dr. Beck dated on or before June 27 , you may use it to fill a medication at Rice Creek or a third-party pharmacy until the prescription expires or no refills remain. After June 27th, to receive any new prescriptions or to re-establish auto-ship orders through the online pharmacy, your pet will need to be seen by a veterinarian at Rice Creek Animal Hospital. This ensures a valid veterinarianclientpatient relationship, as required by law.
